Goldington Reading and Recreation Rooms
The venue is available for a variety of occasions: societies and clubs, support groups, baby play groups, wellness, fitness, yoga, reiki, tai chi, mediation, creative and crafting groups, dance and musical classes and rehearsals, trainings, business presentations, public meetings, polling station etc.
The venue is not available for discos, parties, or other forms of entertainment producing loud (amplified) music.
We are currently unable to accept single (one-off) bookings.
Capacity
- the maximum number of people using the venue is 40; the total number of people allowed to attend a specific event may be less than this, depending on the activity taking place;
- the venue has a small private parking area to the front which can accommodate up to four average size cars.
Hire rate: £12 per hour
Minimum booking: 1 Hour
Hire fees are payable upfront, in full, via BACS (the details will in in your invoice)

The venue will only be available to you for the time stated in the Booking Form; there is no time allowance for setting up before the start of your booking and clearing up after it finishes.
On submitting an online booking request you will receive an email with a summary of your booking, and an invoice. The hire fees are payable upfront, in full, monthly. Upon receipt of the hire fee, your booking will be approved and the requested date and time reserved for your event.
Registered users have access to all their booking information and can easily make repeat bookings and manage their account.

The Venue

The venue consists of a small hallway (meet & greet area), main hall, meeting room, tea and coffee room, two toilets (one accessible).
The maximum capacity is 40 persons; the total number of people allowed to attend a specific event may be less than this, depending on the activity taking place.
The venue has a small private parking area for up to 4 average size cars.
Equipment & services
There is a kettle, tea urn, and cups and saucers which may be used by hirers. Hirers are responsible for leaving these clean and tidy after use.
Chairs are stacked in the Main Hall and are available to all the hirers if needed. The hirers are asked to returned the chairs to the designated area after use.
There is a Projection Screen available to all the hirers if needed.
There are 6 tables stacked in a designated area, which are available to all the hirers. Hirers are asked to returned them to the designated area after use.
